Dallas Art and Tattoo Expo Poster

The Dallas Art & Tattoo Expo brings in tattoo artists from all over the globe and features a variety of events, vendors, and activities friendly for the whole family. For their poster, I wanted to illustrate the true boldness and commitment of tattoo enthusiasts by “tattooing” the event name onto a woman’s voluntarily bald head, making something conventionally beautiful out of a celebrated, unconventional medium. The final product consisted of photoshopping, hand lettering, and some more photoshopping. I integrated the informational copy by surrounding the subject with similar hand lettering as the tattoo in a subdued color to prevent any distraction from the main subject.
